It also serves to highlight the dual nature of the discipline: balancing the interpretive skill often described as the ‘art’ of forensics, with the rigorous methodologies that underpin its scientific foundations. By framing this as art versus science, the theme underscores the discipline’s progression towards a future where technology and traditional expertise work in concert to deliver deeper insights and more robust outcomes in the pursuit of justice.
